It is very common for the amount of mods to exceed 20 and even 30 mods total, some of which may be tailor-made for that specific unit. There are literally thousands of other mods out there that enable several different types of MILSIM units to exist, including World War 2, Vietnam, and even Star Wars units. It is of very high quality hence the widespread use of it.ĬUP (Community Upgrade Project) does a lot of things but is mostly composed of content ported from previous ArmA titles like ArmA 2 and Operation Arrowhead. RHS (Red Hammer Studios) is a collection of 4 mods that add new factions to the game such as the Russian Armed Forces, United States Armed Forces, Serbian Armed Forces, as well as miscellaneous independent forces. TFAR is the more common system as it's quite a bit more user friendly than ACRE2 at the cost of realism and accuracy.

TFAR (Task Force Arrowhead Radio) and ACRE2 (Advanced Combat Radio Environment) are the two radio communication mods that exist for ArmA. Features can be as small as renaming weapons to their real-life names, or as significant as complete overhauls of medical systems and realistic ballistics.

The most common ones you'll find are (1) ACE3, (2) TFAR/ACRE2, (3) RHS, (4) CUP.ĪCE3 (Advanced Combat Environment) is a realism mod that adds significantly more depth to pretty much every aspect of the game. You'll find it very difficult to find a MILSIM group that does not use mods.
